In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, our clients are still requesting research on cases that will soon head to mediation, or trial. To meet our clients’ needs we have developed three types of secure online services: 1) Virtual Jury2) iJuror, and 3) Virtual Witness Training.

Virtual Juries: A Traditional Mock Trial Format

  •   On a secure online platform, jurors watch pre-recorded presentations, respond to questionnaires following each presentation, and deliberate with a Delphi consultant guiding each deliberation group.

  • Delphi staff monitor juror engagement to ensure participation, and guide deliberations to ensure jurors provide feedback regarding verdict form questions and specific case issues.

  • Virtual Jury also enables counsel to increase the sample size of the mock trial, offering greater reliability for the development of an empirical juror profile and/or damages simulation.

  • An executive summary, formal report, witness feedback critique, and an empirical juror profile may still be prepared at the client’s request.

iJuror: Individual Juror Feedback

  • Budget-oriented projects in which clients would like feedback from individual jurors

  • Two Types of iJuror research: Narrative and Consultant

    • Narrative iJuror projects: participants review a case narrative with Plaintiff arguments, Defendant arguments and embedded images, and then complete a survey to determine their opinions of the case.

    • Consultant iJuror projects: up to an hour in length per presentation, Delphi consultants make brief presentations of case issues with PowerPoint slides or videos prepared by the client, and participants individually answer questions.

  • Multiple iJuror sessions may be held each day to increase the sample size of participants. iJuror sessions prove ideal for budget-oriented cases where attorneys may want feedback on themes, witnesses, damages exposure, or an empirical juror profile.

Virtual Witness Training: Depositions and trials take place all over the country and sometimes occur at the last minute. When travel to a witness may not be possible, we have developed a secure platform to continue preparing witnesses for deposition or trial testimony. Feedback from online jurors who observe witness testimony may be informative to clients, or witnesses, who want to evaluate witness credibility. Our witness training sessions take place on a secure password protected platform that ensures confidentiality.
